Is HCG safe?
Yes. HCG is a natural hormone, which already exists in women. Our source for HCG is from a FDA approved compounding pharmacy. HCG has minimal side effects and risks.
What is included in the Protocol cost?
Your initial consultation is complimentary. The cost includes the blood work, initial consultation with Dr. Desai, HCG prescription, and supplies, the IAPAM HCG Protocol Patient Guidebook, recommended standard supplements, and 6 office visits are included. Individualized supplements based on your consultation with Dr. Desai are extra. We are always available to you for any questions by phone and email, free of charge.
Will I lose one pound each day on the program?
Most men will lose an average of 0.75 to 1 pound a day over the 6 week period. Most women will lose about 0.5 to 0.75 pounds a day over the 6 week period. The average for men is 20 to 35 pound and 10 to 20 pounds for women over the 6 week period. However weight loss is not uniform each day and some days no weight is lost while on others 2 pounds will be lost.
Will I starve on a very low calorie diet?
The HCG will release up to 2000 calories of stored fat, and so your body is actually living on 2500 calories. Most people do not get hungry because of this higher calorie load not associated with any other VLCD.
May I participate in the Protocol if I only want to lose 10 pounds?
Yes, we have a protocol that is shorter in the length of time you are on the diet phase. The length of time to reset the metabolism will be the same. The benefits derived from this will be a re-sculpted body and a more efficient metabolism.
Will the protocol work if I'm a vegetarian?
The protocol will work but with a lower total weight loss. It is not possible to do if you are vegan.
Do I need to exercise with this protocol?
The standard recommendation is 30 minutes of gentle walking, yoga stretching or swimming each day. Anything strenuous like running and weight lifting are not recommended for the 6 weeks of the diet.
Can I still take my medications while on HCG?
